Applications for the Hockey PEI Scholastic Award and The Jim Stirling Scholarship are now available in Student Services. Each scholarship is valued at $1000. Grade 12 Students

Applications are now being accepted at the Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island (CFPEI) for scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 dollars, representing a wide range of criteria and open to students graduating from Island high schools this year.

A description of all scholarships as well as application forms can be found on the Foundation’s website at http://www.cfpei.ca. Applications can be submitted online, by email to info@cfpei.ca or in person at 119 Queen Street by 4pm on Thursday, May 31st.

UPEI Course Registration

UPEI will be here Wednesday, March 21st at 9:00 to assist grade 12 students planning to attend UPEI in the fall with course registration. Arts students will select during A block, Science students will select during B block. Students should speak with Ms MacGregor Harris or Ms Jackson Deveau if they can’t be here to select courses on this date.

Holland College will be here on Wednesday, May 9th to answer questions about scholarships with grade 12 students planning to attend Holland College in the fall. Students should visit Student Services BEFORE this date to ensure they have started the scholarship application process. All Holland College Scholarships are due May 15th.

Interested in Becoming a Vet?

Come to the Atlantic Veterinary College this summer for an interactive, fun, and engaging venture into the world of veterinary medicine! At the College’s annual Dr. Tim Ogilvie AVC Vet Camp, you will learn about animals, meet others who share your love of animals, and participate in fun, educational activities. You’ll get a taste of what being a veterinarian is really like!

UPEI Mathematics Open House

This Saturday, January 27th, from 10am to 12noon, the School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences is holding an Open House. The event is mainly for High School students (and interested parents and teachers) who have an interest in pursuing a career in some area of mathematical and computational sciences (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Financial Mathematics, Analytics, Video Game Programming). Many of these areas are booming right now and there is high demand for graduates from these programs.

Besides information on careers and programs in these areas, there will be some fun/interesting mathematics and computer science demonstrations/exhibits.

Students planning to attend can sign up on facebook @UniversityofPEI so they can estimate numbers.
