Come to the Atlantic Veterinary College this summer for an interactive, fun, and engaging venture into the world of veterinary medicine! At the College’s annual Dr. Tim Ogilvie AVC Vet Camp, you will learn about animals, meet others who share your love of animals, and participate in fun, educational activities. You’ll get a taste of what being a veterinarian is really like!

This Saturday, January 27th, from 10am to 12noon, the School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences is holding an Open House. The event is mainly for High School students (and interested parents and teachers) who have an interest in pursuing a career in some area of mathematical and computational sciences (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Financial Mathematics, Analytics, Video Game Programming). Many of these areas are booming right now and there is high demand for graduates from these programs.
Besides information on careers and programs in these areas, there will be some fun/interesting mathematics and computer science demonstrations/exhibits.

Attached is the invitation for students and parents to attend the UPEI School of Sustainable Design Engineering Open House on Friday, November 17 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
The Peter Kohler Scholarship for engineering is now available and the application process is online. You can view the application form here or on the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia webpage cfns-fcne.ca.
· Must be graduating from high school in June 2018 and entering their first year of full-time studies in an Engineering Program at a University in Atlantic Canada in September 2018.
Applicants will be adjudicated upon the basis of their financial need and academic standing. The award is valued at $50,000, distributed over a period of four years, provided the student maintains a satisfactory grade point average and maintains a full time status. The award will be applied directly to the recipient’s student account at the university they are attending. The Donor reserves the right to award scholarships on a more or less frequent basis as income levels and the Foundation permits.
The Peter Kohler Scholarship is intended for students who demonstrate financial need, and is meant to provide an opportunity for young and bright students who might not be able to enroll in university if it were not for this funding.
