Attached is the invitation for students and parents to attend the UPEI School of Sustainable Design Engineering Open House on Friday, November 17 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
The Peter Kohler Scholarship for engineering is now available and the application process is online. You can view the application form here or on the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia webpage cfns-fcne.ca.
· Must be graduating from high school in June 2018 and entering their first year of full-time studies in an Engineering Program at a University in Atlantic Canada in September 2018.
Applicants will be adjudicated upon the basis of their financial need and academic standing. The award is valued at $50,000, distributed over a period of four years, provided the student maintains a satisfactory grade point average and maintains a full time status. The award will be applied directly to the recipient’s student account at the university they are attending. The Donor reserves the right to award scholarships on a more or less frequent basis as income levels and the Foundation permits.
The Peter Kohler Scholarship is intended for students who demonstrate financial need, and is meant to provide an opportunity for young and bright students who might not be able to enroll in university if it were not for this funding.
Mount Allison University will be offering a special shuttle service on Friday, November 17, with pickups in the Charlottetown and Borden Carleton regions. Students will tour the campus, learn more about academic programs and extracurricular activities, eat at an award-winning dining hall, and have time to explore residences, labs and all Mount Allison has to offer.
