New Scholarships – take a look!

 

In partnership with the PEI Agromart and Island Lime, the PEI Federation of Agriculture is pleased to offer a scholarship of $2,000 for the 2016/17 academic year. This scholarship is available to:
 Federation members, their spouses or children who are enrolled in a leadership program that helps expand their knowledge of the industry and promote leadership OR who are enrolled in a post‐secondary or graduate program
 Unsuccessful applicants may apply in subsequent years
 No applicant will be eligible for a second award
 The successful candidate will be asked to provide confirmation of enrolment
 Applicants will be screened and successful applicants will be selected for an interview
 Applications will be evaluated on the following:
1. A 250 word summary outlining:
a. Farming Background
b. Industry involvement
c. Volunteer and Community Service
d. Long term goals
2. Two letters of endorsement.

PEI Industrial Technology Teachers Association Bursary

Terms of Bursary:
 Four bursaries, valued at $100 each awarded annually.
 Deadline for application June 15/2016

Criteria:
 Planning on pursuing a career related to a skilled trade.
 Student has taken a minimum of three skilled trade courses. (Automotive, Carpentry, and Welding)
 Reference(no letter required) from current member of PEI Industrial Technology Teachers Association.
 Please include resume with covering letter outlining why skilled trade courses have been valuable, relevant, or important to applicant.
Deadline:
 Application, cover letter and resume should be submitted no later than June 15 by mailing, emailing or faxing to:

Holland College Scholarships- Due May 15th

A reminder to all potential Holland College students that MAY 15th is the absolute deadline to apply for scholarships. Applications MUST be post marked May 15th in order to be considered.

Kickstart 2 College event!  

Accepted Holland College students are invited to a day of fun, information, food and prizes! The day will include information sessions from program instructors. You will have the opportunity to meet some new classmates and learn about your courses. Your instructors will discuss on the job training, required class supplies to purchase beforehand, and program expectations.

There will be a variety of information sessions for you to attend

  • Financial – Student loan and student line of credit information, scholarship and bursary opportunities as well as budgeting.
  • Health Care and Insurance – information about our health services for students and the student insurance plan.
  • Personal Wellness – Tips and tricks for healthy eating, exercise and emotional well being.
  • Student Services – Academic support and counselling services.
  • Local Information – Finding off campus housing, things to do in the area.
  • Facility/Campus tours.

We will also have information available on athletics, college clubs, your Holl Pass and so much more!  We will provide you and your guest (parent, grandparent, spouse, friend, sibling) with a delicious lunch and there will be prizes to be won!
