The Tommy Douglas Scholarship for $1,500 is open to all students who plan to enter the first year of a Canadian public post-secondary education institution full-time in 2016 – 2017 and who are the children, grandchildren or foster children of a NUPGE member.
It will be awarded for the best 750 — 1,000 word essay on: How Tommy Douglas contributed to making Canada a more just and equitable society.

The Donald R. Sobey Scholarship is valued at $25,000 and is open to first-year Canadian students applying to The University of King’s College this fall. The deadline to apply is Friday, January 15th. In addition to submitting the application, students will also be required to submit an official copy of their first semester grades by Tuesday, March 1st. Please see Student Services if interested.
The IWK Research Services is proud to offer a new scholarship to Maritime students. This scholarship recognizes outstanding grade 12 students who demonstrate an early interest in health-related research and/or innovation. To be considered students must intend to continue their education in a maritime institution (college or university) in a field that will enhance health research. Students must write an essay on the topic, provide 2 letters of support (academic and character), and have a min. average of 75%. Scholarship is $2,500. Deadline is April 1st.
